The new Boiler Plus legislation has come into effect, which changes the way boilers must be installed.
From April 6th 2018, new standards for boiler installations apply to anywhere in England, with Scotland and Wales exempt from the legislation. The changes state all gas boilers installed must have a minimum ErP efficiency of 92% and must be fitted with a time and temperature controller.
Combi boilers must also now be fitted with one of the following:
- Flue gas heat recovery system
- Weather compensation
- Load compensation
- Smart heating controls
We know it may take a little while to get used to these changes, so we’ve made a handy flowchart to help you remember what you need when fitting our products!
