Ravenheat installers supports children’s cancer charity

We’re proud to say one of our regular installers is doing his bit for a worthy cause, by donating his labour costs to a children’s cancer charity every time he installs a WH80 or WH90.

A great effort

James Whitehead has been making a £100 donation, plus Gift Aid, to a fundraising page set up by CCH Leeds’ Allen Hart in memory of his daughter Laura each time he installs a boiler from our WH range. In 2007, at the age of three, Laura sadly lost her battle with a rare form of cancer.

“Allen’s story really pulled at my heartstrings and as soon as I decided to do fundraising installs, I knew the WH80 and WH90 were the right boilers for the job,” says James.

“They’re so easy to install and my customers so far have been impressed at how whisper-quiet they are. I can’t wait to raise more money for this fantastic cause!”

A worthy cause

The Candlelighters Trust provides practical and emotional support for the families of children with cancer, as well as raising money to support research into the disease.

Our Technical Service Manager John Wilson said: “We’d like to thank James for choosing our boilers to help with his fundraising efforts. We’re all proud to support and help out local installers and their charities in whatever way we can.”

Over the coming months, James will continue supporting this fantastic cause, and is offering fundraising installations within a 12-mile radius of his hometown of Mirfield.
